Molecular Evolution and Medicine
We invite you to a two-day symposium at Temple University in Philadelphia (September 16-17, 2017)
On the first day (Saturday, September 16th), we will hold a Molecular Evolution informs Medicine event, where the impact of molecular evolutionary studies on the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of disease will be highlighted. There will be sessions on Mendelian (rare) diseases, complex diseases, cancers, and infectious diseases. Click here to view the schedule of talks. To provide a contributed talk, please submit an abstract here.
On the second day (Sunday, September 17th), we will hold a Molecular Evolutionary Genetics event, where we will celebrate the contributions of Dr. Masatoshi Nei, his students, and long-time associates. The day will be organized into sessions based on topics including molecular phylogenetics, population genetics, and functional evolution. Click here to view the schedule of talks.
This event will have open registration and will accommodate about 100 participants.
